Abstract

In August 2024, there was year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Muara Enim Regency of 1.52 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.95.

The y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices indicated by an increase in most expenditure group indices, namely: food, beverages, and tobacco group by 0.02 percent; clothing and footwear group by 3.45 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 0.18 percent; health group by 2.92 percent; transportation group by 1.96 percent; recreation, sports, and culture group by 6.15 percent; education group by 0.59 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 2.82 percent; and personal care and other services group by 12.12 percent.

The month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation rate and year-to-date (y-to-d) deflation rate of Muara Enim Regency in August 2024 were 0.24 percent and 1.23 percent, respectively.
