Economy of South Sumatra Province Quarter II-2015 Grows 4.87 Percent

Abstract

The economy of South Sumatra Province, measured by the amount of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GDP) on the basis of current prices, in the second quarter of 2015 reached Rp 83.27 trillion and on the basis of constant prices in 2010 reached Rp 63.58 trillion.
Economy of South Sumatra Province in quarter II-2015 against quarter II-2014 grew 4.87 percent (y-on-y). In terms of production, the highest growth was achieved by Transportation and Warehousing of 11.43 percent. In terms of expenditure by the component of household consumption expenditure which grew by 5.19 percent.
The economy of the South Sumatra Province in the second quarter of 2015 compared to the previous quarter rose to 3.51 percent (q-to-q). In terms of production, this growth was caused by Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries which grew 9.97 percent. While in terms of expenditure, it was caused more by the Government Consumption Expenditure component which grew by 11.48 percent.
