Abstract

Rice production in 2014 (Interim Figures) of 3.67 million tons of milled dry grain (GKG), decreased by 7.14 thousand tons (0.19 percent) compared to 2013. The decline in production was caused by a decrease in productivity of 0.67 quintals / hectares (1.46 percent), while the harvest area has increased by 10.14 thousand hectares (1.27 percent). Maize production in 2014 (transient figure) was 191.91 thousand tons of dry shelled rice, up by 24.45 tons (14.60 percent) compared to 2013. Increased production was due to an increase in productivity of 8.68 quintals / hectare (16.88 percent), while the harvested area has decreased by 630 hectares (1.94 percent). 2014 soybean production (transient figures) amounted to 12.55 thousand tons of dry seeds, up by 7.41 thousand tons (144.16 percent) compared to 2013. The increase in production was caused by an increase in harvest area and productivity of 3.67 thousand hectares (103.06 percent) and 2.92 quintals / hectare (20.25 percent).
