Abstract

The ITK value of South Sumatra Province in the fourth quarter of 2015 amounted to 100.35, meaning that the economic conditions of consumers increased from the previous quarter but with lower consumer optimism compared to the third quarter of 2015 (ITK value of 107.31).

þ Increased consumer economic conditions are driven by the low influence of inflation on consumption levels and the increased consumption of food and non-food commodities.

þ Economic conditions in the first quarter of 2016 are estimated at 104.07, meaning that the economic conditions of consumers are expected to improve. The level of consumer optimism is expected to be higher compared to the fourth quarter of 2015.

þ Improvement in the condition of the consumer economy in the first quarter of 2016 was estimated due to an increase in income.
